“Homageto the Renaissance Majolica”

Collection in homage to the Venetian Renaissance maiolica. During the Renaissance period, Venice was the main centre for cultural exchanges between the East and the West and maiolica represents the most significant example of such exchanges. For this collection, I freely took inspiration from the works of one of the main exponent of this art, Jacopo da Pesaro. Among his artistic production, besides classical decorations such as grotesques, masks, dolphins, candelabra and floral motifs, there is a Venus that stands out; she is taken from a print by Marco Dente, drawn then from a work of art by Raphael.
