“Homage to Renaissance Tin-Glazed Sculpture”
Collection in homage to the Rennaissance tin-glazed sculpture, special artistic technique that started in Florence toward the half of the 15th century, invented by Luca della Robbia and then continued by his heirs. This technique consisted in creating terracotta low reliefs that were then covered with coloured enamels, giving a surprising shiny effect, similar to the maiolica. These terracotta were characterized by very bright colors: light-blue and white for the background and figures and the shades of yellow, green and brown for the decorative details (floral wreath, tiles and candelabra). For this collection I freely elaborated the works of art by the Della Robbia family.
