“Homage to the Magna Grecia”
Collection in homage to the Magna Graecia and in particular to the Italian Apula ceramics. These ceramics were produced in the Greek territories or in the areas in the south of Italy (Magna Graecia) occupied by Greeks, from the end of the 4th century to the 2nd century BC. The Apula ceramics were produced in what is now Puglia, occupied by non-Greek populations in the 4th century BC that decorated their vases in Greek style. I freely took inspiration from some details of archeological relics, vases, plates and cups, from the Nitti-Valentini and Lagioia Collections, now at the Archeological Museum of Milan.
