“Homage to the Egypt” B
Collection in homage to Isis, the most important goddess of the Ancient Egypt. Her worship began in Egypt, but it reached the maximum spread during the Roman Empire. Isis is the goddess of maternity, fertility and magic; usually she is represented in an anthropomorphic way, with aristocratic attitude, standing up or sitting. For the pattern of the tie I freely took inspiration from a representation of the goddess dating back to the New Kingdom (1560-1085 B.C.): Isis is depicted naked and with the sun disk enclosed by bovine horns, alternated with typical Egyptian decorations of papyrus leaves and lotus flowers.
