“Homage to Giotto” B

Collection in homage to Giotto(Vespignano 1267 – Florence 1337), the artist who renovated the Italian painting and worked for the most important Italian cities. He has been so important the he influenced not only his contemporaries, but also the Renaissance artists. Giotto refused the static images and the abstraction of the Byzantine art, recovering the contact with reality and nature: in this new space, the characters are in a relation with the surrounding environment and they are depicted as real persons. For the pattern of the tie I freely took inspiration from some details, horse and floral pattern, that Giotto frescoed in the Scrovegni Chapel in Padua.
